MOUNTAIN BIKING: Rock Point

← NY SALMON RIVER SOUTH PLATTSBURGH NY Single Tracks →

Description

This is the most technical section of biking in Burlington. Not for beginners on hard tails. The trail traverses along large cliffs, with many
short, but tricky technical climbs and descents. Many great spots to swim and stop for a break. Riding is mostly on rugged bedrock and roots
with some hardpack in between. Currently the trail is a one way, with an
exit/ entrance onto north beach

I have been building/ working on this trail a lot recently, so look for new
trails with ladder bridges, berms and fun lines etc

Directions

This group of trails lies to the west of the Burlington bike path on rock point

pennisula, which is just north of North beach. There are a few ways to access these

trails. If you are driving it would be easiest to park at the high school and ride the BHS trails en route, which exit right onto the bike path a little north of the rock point entrance.

There are a couple discreet and easy to miss trails that branch off from the bike path between the train bridge and the BHS trail exit. Another way to reach the trails is by going down rock point rd, (staying to the north)

and entering the trail near the cove.

Loop/connector trail coming soon!
